Commissioner&rsquo;s satisfaction that the vehicle is <strong><u>unable to be tested at the time of its scheduled inspection and the 30 days thereafter</u></strong>.</p> <p align="center"><strong><u>Acceptable Reasons and Acceptable Documentation</u></strong></p> <p><strong><u>Military Personnel</u></strong>:&nbsp; Vehicles owned by Connecticut residents who are on active out of state military duty.<br> <br> <strong>Documentation:</strong> Copies of vehicle registration, military orders and military ID.</p> <p><strong><u>Out of State</u></strong><strong>:&nbsp;&nbsp; (A) </strong>Vehicle is out of state at the time of its scheduled test date and the 30 days thereafter.<br> <br> <strong>Documentation: </strong>A completed and signed Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) verification form completed by an out of state authority (Police, DMV or Military) submitted with a written request, specifying the amount of time needed days thereafter.<br> <strong><br> Documentation: </strong>A written request, specifying the amount of time needed (maximum of 6 months), along with copies of storage receipts with corresponding dates or the declaration page from your insurance, showing policy effective and expiration dates, stating that liability coverage has been suspended for the same time period as the extension request.
