Late-fees Associated With Testing

A $20-late fee will be billed by DMV to motorists who are more than 30 calendar days past their test due date. You will be sent a separate notice from the DMV about the late fee payment or it will be added to your registration renewal.  Late fees are not collected at the test centers.

Failure to pay late fees will result in denial to register any vehicle in Connecticut.
