When Do I Get Tested?

In most cases, you will be able to determine your vehicle’s emissions current (compliance) test date, by entering your Vehicle’s Identification Number (VIN) into our ‘Test Date Lookup’ database.Why get the test done early?

Find a Test Center

Have the test completed at any of the test centers in the statewide network. The test fee is $20.

What Should I Know About the Test?

What Is the Test Like?

The test is easy and efficient.

Any motorist whose vehicle does not have the emissions test by its due date will not be allowed to renew the registration on that vehicle.

What If I Fail the Test?

You have 30 consecutive days from the date of the initial test to have your vehicle's emissions problems fixed and pass a one-time free re-test at the original test center.
